Druids, Suspects, and Thought Bubbles.

November 18th, 2015 No Comments

Hey Lounatics

Dan claims to have written the long awaited issue 8 now, which is nice, so you can now pre-order this delicious little bastard here!

ALSO – This! This is the reason issue 8 is delayed! Go here, and support the fan-freakin’tastic DRUID INVESTIGATIONS! Because the sooner we can get this funded and out the door, the sooner we can chain Harris to his desk and get him to draw issue 8! Plus, you’ll get a legit brilliant, funny, spooky, awesome comic book from the warped mind of the creator of Lou Scannon no less. So, yeah, get on that, and GET SOME. BEWSH. Come back here after you’ve pledged, and read the rest of the news.

Done? Watched? Laughed? Pledged? Good. We’ll know if you’re lying.

So, as a show of good faith, here’s the regular cover for issue 8, drawn by Dan, and coloured by Kris, and probably taken down by a Cease & Desist very soon. We also have a variant cover available for you to see, drawn by… sorry? We can’t tell them yet? Well that’s a bit shit. Why not? It’s not drawn yet? For fuck’s sake. Well can we tell them who’s drawing it, just for somethi- no? Not even that? Gah.

We’ll post it soonish. Promise. It’ll be brilliant, by someone equally brilliant.

In the meantime, HUGE THANKS to everyone who came by our table to say hi at Thought Bubble 2015, and even more thanks to anyone who picked up an issue or seven there. You’re wonderful.

So, while you’re enduring the wait for Druid Investigations to hit your doormat, and for issue 8 to rear it’s handsome head, why not pluck up the gumption to send a letter praising/abusing us to Lou Scannon’s Bulging Sack! Do your WORST, buying public!

We love you guys. Thanks for your patience. We’re going to reward the FUCK out of it, toot sweet.

Team Scannon

Hey people! If you’ve not yet taken a punt on the comic, and would like to see what sort of bang you’ll get for yer buck, we’ve now added a 6 page preview of every comic currently available – just head on over to the Issues page, and a preview PDF is downloadable for issues 1, 2 & 3. Have a goosey!

Also, 2000AD artist Mike Collins whipped us up a fantastic Lou Scannon sketch – Thanks Mike!

A brief update on issue 4 – we’re running a wee bit behind due to some pesky real-life issues, but we’re gunning to try and get this sucker into your grubby little hands by the end of August. Scouts honour.

Also, Kris will be a guest at the Auto Assembly 2012 Transformers Convention this weekend (Aug 3, 4 & 5) on account of him having worked on Transformers over the years, and he’ll be a-sketching and have Scannon issues 1 thru 3 for sale  (along with a preview of 4 so far if anyone’s interested), so feel free to harass him there. Lou Scannon #4 – Progress So Far!

March 28th, 2012 No Comments

Hey Lounatics. You’ve probably read issue 3 by now. And if not, why not?! But if you have, hopefully you’re gagging for issue 4. Well, you’re in luck sunshine, ‘cos Dan, Jim and Kris are hard at work bringing that puppy to life as we speak!

We’ve had lengthy script meetings, that have generated some serious, thought-provoking moments..

… and we’ve worked hard to inject the comedy into the script too.

As it stands we’re a few days away from finalising the script, and we’ve started preliminary thumbnails for the issue, and seriously re-watched ‘Aliens’ and ‘Predator’ for uh… research. Yes… let’s say research. Dan will be seriously jumping on the art at some point in April, and with a prevailing wind we’ll have the issue all done and printed by end of June/start of July, or thereabouts.

In other words, there’s still time enough to pre-order this bad boy. Trust us – you’re not going to want to miss this little corker!

Issue 3 Variant Cover Revealed!

March 14th, 2012 No Comments

The original print run of issue 3 is pretty much sold out, with literally two or three copies remaining. As per usual, we’ve got a new cover lined up for the next print run, this time provided by Chris Phillips (with colours by Kris Carter), another indie comic artist who runs the ‘Candleman’ and ‘The Moose’ comics – see his site here. This won’t see print for another week or two, but in the meantime feast your eyes upon this bad-ass new cover for issue 3.

And don’t forget, we’re still coveting your votes for the Eagle Awards 2012 here. Help us o’loyal readership! Spread the word!

Issue 2 Teaser Art Revealed

June 30th, 2011 No Comments

Just as issue #1 of Lou Scannon is being sent out to our wonderful readers, so work begins on issue #2! It’s still a while away of course (we’re aiming for a November/December release), but we can still tease you with a little bit of Dan’s pretty pencils and Kris’ slap-happy shading. No inks yet, as we’re working a tiny bit out of order and this is all ‘work in progress’ stuff, but issue #2 will be a visual step up from #1 regardless!
